Display of some
Royal Guitars from the
Past..... Built between 1980 & 1989

Picture by Bob Greaves at Ashcon 2005
This picture above is quite unique as
we have never seen so many Royal Guitars in any one place at any one time
ourselves and therefore it is a wonderful record to have.
From Left to Right at the Back are: A
1989 Black DCS Junior, 1985 "TV" SCS Junior,
1987 Red Electra MkII
(We believe this is the first of the MkIIs), 1988 Pink Electra Bass,
1989 Black Electra MkII (This is the
Last Royal that was made),
1988 Pink Electra MkII,
1988 Yellow Electra MkII,
1982 "Light TV" DCS
Junior (The 4th Royal), obscured behind is a
1986 Natural X-Plorer
(Note the name variation - now used by "A.N.Other").
From Left to Right at the Front are: A
1989 Black 'bound' T-Type,
(we now briefly jump to Royale with an
unfinished 2005 Blue Swordstress Special), next is a
1989 Natural
Medusa Deluxe undergoing some work, then a
1989 Red/Blue Splatter finish
Medusa Custom..... and finally the 1st Royal which was made in
1980/81 - a Slotted Head Acoustic 12-string with solid Rosewood back and sides, Sitka
spruce top and Mahogany neck.
Many thanks to: D.T. Giles, Bob Greaves, Daryl Mercy, Nick Clube and Martin Warren for
their trust in loaning us these guitars for this event. (Maybe we can
do this again sometime).
