POWELL & WISHBONE ASH SECTION
BITOCASTERS
S-Type Swamp Ash Bitocaster©

This is a Bitocaster made for Andy
Powell.
The body is one piece Swamp Ash. The neck is solid Brazilian Rosewood made
in The States quite a few years ago ago. The body has a wax finish and the
neck is oiled.

Just strung up for the first time and
ready to go.

Above is a close up the custom made scratchplate
comprising birds-eye Maple veneer on the top, plain maple veneer on the
bottom with the centre of the 'sandwich' being single ply black
scratchplate material.
The finish is two pack gloss lacquer which has been flatted and polished
to a mirror finish.

The hardware comprises of:
Pickups custom wound Kloppmans, the machines are vintage Gotohs, the bridge is made by LR Baggs which has
built in piezo saddles that feed an LR Baggs onboard preamp.
There is a
volume for the magnetics, a volume for the piezo and a tone for the
magnetics. There is a stereo jack out that supplies two separate amps for
the magnetics and the piezo. There is no summed mono output, but with a
mono lead the guitar functions in a standard fashion.
